speakers came well packaged and arrived undamaged. sound quality is more than acceptable for the price , good mid range and relatively good bass response . will not disappoint for the price.

They don't sound terrible, but lack bass.

I put these in my boat. I wanted something simple. These work great and have a good sound. Think I am going to add an amp just to give a little more power to clear them up otherwise works great in my application.

OK, after reading several reviews and looking deep into the bottomless pit that is my wallet lately, I decided to pull the trigger on these great little outdoor speakers. We just built a wonderful outdoor deck the size of and aircraft carrier and I needed a surround system to thrill all those wonderful friends & family members who might do an "OMG!..that sound is amazing!"
Yesterday I hooked up these little jewels in a two-channel set-up just to initially check them out. I am using a top of the line Denon AV receiver and playing back CD's & Audio DVD's from my favorite Oppo CD/DVD deck. I had little expectations beyond what I had read in several reviews, which all raved about the quality of the sound for the price point (about $80.00)....cut to the chase, I was impressed enough to buy two more to complete a surround system. I found the Dual LU53 almost perfect for my needs. I say almost as I feel I need a little bottom end enhancement. I bought a nice little Monoprice Subwoofer to fill in the minor gap....When all is said & done I will sit back, throw on a nice DTS 5.1 recording and just wait for that "OMG moment".

Not sure what all the negative reviews are for, paired this with my Pioneer 150watt amp, used as a secondary set of outside speakers on our covered front porch. Great sound, good bass and treble adjustments, packaged well, all parts included, great shipping time and easy install. either people are pairing this with cheap stereo equipment or it’s just operator trouble, or both. Am buying another pair for my deck in the backyard. Hooked up with Monster cable speaker wire.
